Welcome to our church situated in the Northern suburbs of Nelson, St. Peters Atawhai overlooking the Haven.
As an Evangelical parish we seek to teach God’s word, giving the Bible its true authority among us. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and he came to minister, died and rose again for our sins. We desire to see people discipled and grow by the Word and Spirit of God. It is one of our aims to see those in our community come to faith by hearing God’s good news to is in Jesus.
A vibrant and welcoming church community, St Peter’s offers an all-age family friendly worship experience. Our services feature uplifting and engaging sung worship, as well as thought-provoking Biblical sermons that speak to people of all ages and backgrounds.
We also have several home groups during the week, craft group on Thursday mornings, and regular prayer meetings.
We are a relaxed and friendly parish who love our Lord, care for one another and the community. We desire to know God, his Word and Spirit and are thankful for his son Jesus Christ.
